Jersey has been crowned international financial centre of the year for the 13th time at the annual Citywealth IFC Awards.
Announced at a gala dinner held in London last week, the accolade was accepted by Jersey Finance’s UK Director, Robert Moore, and saw the Island shortlisted alongside a number of other IFCs from across Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
Now in their 15th year, the awards aim to recognise excellence among advisers and managers in the private-wealth sector across major IFCs. Winners are selected based on their achievements, their innovative approach and their clear expertise by a panel of highly respected practitioners from across the industry.
Joe Moynihan, chief executive of Jersey Finance, said: “For more than six decades, Jersey has shown what it means to be a truly forward-looking international finance centre. Our success rests on political and economic stability, a strong and trusted regulatory framework, and deep professional expertise – qualities that continue to inspire confidence among global investors. Against this backdrop, I am delighted that Jersey has once again been recognised for its innovative approach to delivering cross-border financial services.”
“Looking ahead, we will continue to invest heavily in our on-the-ground expertise, to diversify our overseas market reach, to build on our strong family office proposition, to progress digital innovation – including the evolution of virtual assets and the responsible adoption of AI – and to be a leader in sustainable finance. Guided by a clear vision, we aim to remain a trusted partner to clients worldwide and a jurisdiction that helps shape the global financial landscape for decades to come.”
