The Fair is to be held at the Royal Yacht Hotel on Thursday 22 October, from 12:00-19:00, with the purpose of the event being to raise awareness locally of the JFSC’s functions and to discuss the wide range of roles, projects and opportunities available to candidates interested in pursuing a career within the organisation.

John Harris, Director-General, said: “Working at the Commission combines challenging job responsibilities, professional development opportunities, and community involvement.  It is an exciting time to join the organisation as we are undergoing a period of change in the way we operate, which focuses heavily on our people and the introduction of new systems.  We believe in working hard, but also want to offer our staff a good work-life balance.”

With a team of more than 130 employees working across a variety of divisions and remits including Anti-Money Laundering, Enforcement, Banking, Funds, Trust, Risk and Operations (Finance, Communications, HR, Facilities, Registry  and IT), the JFSC has opportunities available for college leavers, graduates, professionals looking to change career, those returning to work or wishing to work flexible hours.

Matt Ebbrell, Human Resources Manager, added that the JFSC invests significantly  in its staff’s continued professional development; just one element of an attractive package that offers flexible working arrangements to help employees manage both work and personal commitments.

He said: “The JFSC offers opportunities for development in an organisation that is both flexible, modern and forward-thinking.  There is a variety of roles on offer for talented and experienced individuals, in both full and part time positions, and we welcome anyone interested to know more to come along to our Careers Fair.”

In conjunction with the Careers Fair, the JFSC is launching a new Career microsite, which will feature information about working for the organisation, our Change Programme, job opportunities, flexible working practices, vacancies and staff profiles.

A cross section of staff from the JFSC will be on hand between midday and 19:00 on Thursday 22 October, in the Celestial Hall, at the Royal Yacht Hotel to speak to anyone interested in learning more about working for the organisation.
