A number of local firms have been recognised in the Legal 500 UK Guide 2026.

Carey Olsen and Ogier are among firms who have shared their results, having both been ranked Tier 1 across a number of practice areas.

The Legal 500 is a directory that ranks law firms and lawyers based on client feedback, peer reviews, interviews with key team members and the firm’s track record.

Carey Olsen achieved a “clean sweep” of 21 out of a possible 21 Tier 1 rankings – the only law firm to do so – and maintained its position as the top-ranked offshore law firm for the fourth consecutive year.

Lawyers across the firm’s Guernsey, Jersey and London offices received 69 individual rankings in this year’s guide, including 14 rankings in The Legal 500 UK Hall of Fame.

“It is very pleasing to see Carey Olsen achieve another clean sweep of top tier rankings in the Legal 500,” said Simon Marks, Group Managing Partner.

“I would like to thank our clients for instructing us and placing their trust in Carey Olsen, and each of the teams at Carey Olsen for going above and beyond to deliver the very best legal advice.

“I would also like to congratulate each of our colleagues who have been recognised for the first time or who have been promoted in the rankings.”

The firm has also received new rankings in the Guide for its Regulatory and White-Collar Crime services in Jersey and Guernsey.

“We are delighted our Channel Island and London teams have received such outstanding praise from Legal 500,” said Ogier’s global managing partner Ed Mackereth. “Our Jersey team achieving tier one rankings across all practice areas demonstrates clear jurisdictional excellence.

“With our Regulatory and White-Collar Crime practice growing fast it’s great to see our Channel Island specialists recognised for their expertise in this core area.

“These Legal 500 UK 2026 rankings demonstrate our team’s hard work and commitment to providing the best advice to our clients. Well done to our teams and individuals for their well-deserved recognition,” he added.
