The scheme is in its second year and will run for an initial nine-month period.

Participants will be able to learn from experienced professionals in a range of sectors on how to grow into the positions and meet goals.

It aims to provide aspiring directors with the tools necessary to enter such roles within the next five years.

Clare Humpleby, Vice Chair of the Professional Development Sub-Committee, said: “The IoD Mentoring Scheme is a testament to the dedication of our community in nurturing the next generation of leaders.

“The success of our pilot scheme in 2023 was a clear indication of the willingness of established Directors to contribute their time and expertise towards shaping the future of leadership.”
