The Mortgage Shop has welcomed one of the island’s most recognisable mortgage professionals into a leading role.
Lorraine Wright (formerly Lorraine McLean) has been appointed Head of Mortgages, in a move that the firm says takes her “back to her roots”.
Ms Wright, who has spent the past 12 years at Skipton International, first joined the bank as its first Jersey-based employee and initially worked alone to grow the local lending book and establish its presence in the island.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with some great people over the years, all focused on building something strong and sustainable while keeping customers at the centre,” Ms Wright said.
“Coming back to mortgage broking feels like the right move. I enjoy working closely with clients, understanding their situation properly, and helping them move forward with confidence.”
Managing Director Gary Tumelty said Ms Wright’s appointment reflects the firm’s focus on experience and teamwork.
“Lorraine is someone many people in Jersey already know and trust,” he said. “She brings real experience and sound judgement, and she shares our belief that good advice starts with understanding the person, not just the paperwork. This business has been built over three decades on personal service and strong relationships, and Lorraine strengthens what is already a very capable team.”
