PwC has welcomed Dan Usher to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer for the Channel Islands’ firm.
The firm described Mr Usher as “an accomplished business leader and finance professional” with almost 30 years of experience.
In his new role, Mr Usher will be responsible for the development of the business enablement function, ensuring the “operational excellence of the firm is maintained and continues to evolve”.
PwC said the COO role has been created to reflect the increasing size of the firm, taking into account “further growth and its vision for the future”.
It added that Mr Usher has a “crucial role” in improving the way business operations work.
He has worked for “global leaders” across investment banking, fund and trust administration, fiduciary and banking and most recently, held the position of Managing Director at Northern Trust in Guernsey, before taking up the position of COO at PwC last autumn.
PwC CI Senior Partner, Nick Vermeulen, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Dan back to the PwC network where he first trained in the ‘90s. There is no doubt that Dan’s energy, enthusiasm and experience in leadership roles across various sectors in the financial services industry make him ideally placed to drive operational excellence and accountability for performance within our local firm.
“An accomplished business leader of high calibre with a proven track record of success, his skills and experience will be harnessed to ensure our operational excellence, which in turn will be pivotal in driving our growth strategy.”
