The move aims to provide greater convenience and improved service for the public by bringing all services under one roof for the first time since the pandemic.
The new premises will be the central location for all public business, including:
- Birth registration appointments
- Birth re-registration appointments
- Marriage/Civil Partnership application-related appointments
- Death registration appointments
- Register Office marriage and civil partnership ceremonies
- Applications for certified copy certificates (and collection of certificates)
- Viewing of the records
- All other public business
Superintendent Registrar Claire Follain said: “This move represents our commitment to providing exceptional service to the people of Jersey.
“By consolidating our services in one location, we are not only improving efficiency but also reinstating the tradition of holding marriage and civil partnership ceremonies in the same building, a practice we have dearly missed since the pandemic.”
The new office opened at 25 New Street on Monday 11 March.
