Romerils has announced that its Finance Director has achieved the Chartered Director qualification from the Institute of Directors.

Richard Sherrington has been at Romerils since 2016, playing a “pivotal role” in the company’s financial strategy and growth.

The firm said his achievement of the Chartered Director qualification “underscores his exceptional leadership” and “dedication to the company’s success”.

The Chartered Director qualification is recognised globally as a mark of professional competence and integrity.

It signifies an understanding of the strategic and operational aspects of running a business, as well as a commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance.

Mr Sherrington said he was “delighted” to have achieved the qualification.

“This milestone reflects my commitment to continuous professional development and to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance,” he added.

“I look forward to using this knowledge to further contribute to Romerils’ success and to drive the business forward.”

Romerils Managing Director, Steve Jewell, said the “prestigious qualification” was a “testament to Richard’s dedication, expertise and commitment to excellence in corporate governance and leadership”.

He explained: “It was a massive commitment from Richard to undertake, and we are incredibly proud of his accomplishment.

“His ambition and dedication to personal growth and high achievement are also testament to his ability and professionalism.”

Mr Jewell continued: “This achievement not only enhances his leadership capabilities but also strengthens Romerils’ commitment to maintaining the highest standards of governance and strategic management at the most senior level.”
