Law firm Appleby has welcomed two new Associates to its corporate team in Jersey.
Larissa Dezyk’s experience includes a range of corporate transactions, including M&A, restructurings, private equity and equity capital markets, alongside general corporate and ESG advisory work.
Tshepang Phiri advises on high-value international transactions. He acts for financial institutions, corporate sponsors and borrowers in relation to complex, multi-jurisdictional bilateral and syndicated facilities, refinancing, restructuring and security enforcements.
The firm said he had particular expertise in acquisition and real estate finance.
Ms Dezyk completed her training contract at Herbert Smith Freehills in London.
She said: “Appleby has an excellent reputation and I am enjoying getting to know colleagues and clients while gaining insight into the distinctive approach to legal matters here in Jersey.”
Mr Phiri has worked at leading firms in Johannesburg, Jersey and London, most recently PwC Legal. He said he was “excited” to have joined the team, and “looked forward to being part of Appleby’s continued success.”
James Gaudin, Appleby Jersey’s Managing Partner, said: “It is great to have Larissa and Tshepang on board.
“They bring valuable experience and skills to the practice, and I look forward to seeing their contribution to the growth and success of our Jersey team.”
