A global aviation services company that has been expanding in Europe is now operating in the island.
Unifi Aviation, which is also the largest ground handling provider in North America, has created Unifi Aviation Jersey – offering aviation detailing, interior and exterior cleaning to executive aircraft handled through the Fixed Based Operator (FBO) facility run by Gama Aviation.
Unifi Aviation Jersey will complement Gama Aviation’s passenger and crew handling with specialist cleaning and detailing through a dedicated subsidiary, Up and Away.
Stefan Murphy, the chief executive of Unifi Aviation UK, Ireland and Jersey, said: “Moving into the Channel Islands has been on our wish list for many years.”
Unifi Aviation Jersey has opened an office within the FBO with a dedicated team of detailers available Monday to Friday, though it has said that hours can be extended “on request”.

The business can also be booked to support regional airlines operating through the FBO on sports and ad hoc charters.
Corin Barker, FBO manager, Jersey, at Gama Aviation, said: “Welcoming Unifi Aviation to our Jersey FBO gives our clients convenient access to specialist aircraft cleaning and detailing alongside the handling services our team already provides.”
He continued: “For owners, operators and crews, being able to arrange aircraft care during their visit is a practical and valuable addition, helping them maintain the presentation of their aircraft and prepare for the next flight.”
Unifi’s arrival in Jersey coincides with Gama Aviation’s own plans for a multi-million-pound investment in a new FBO facility adjacent to its existing operation at Jersey Airport. The project is scheduled to break ground in 2027.
