Three projects that aim to improve and enhance the customer experience in Jersey have been awarded grant funding.
Stock.Live, Sentient Machines and Freedom Holidays have been selected as recipients of funding from Impact Jersey’s CXTech Programme.
The CXTech Programme, launched at the end of 2024, will provide local and global innovators the opportunity to develop and deploy tech-driven solutions to “enhance customer experiences, productivity and efficiency” across Jersey’s retail, tourism, hospitality and logistics sectors.
Funded by the Government of Jersey and delivered by Digital Jersey, the programme operates as a 50/50 matched funding model with up to £500,000 being awarded to successful projects.
It attracted 22 submissions from both on and off-island entrepreneurs and businesses.
The successful applicants…
Stock.Live is a retail feed management solution that enables retailers to connect and display their live, in-store inventory to local online shoppers who are looking for those products.
The project aims to increase bricks and mortar retail sales, reach customers where they are shopping and keep retail spend within the Jersey economy.
Sentient Machines is a data-driven approach to customer insight that uses “highly sophisticated” AI tools to help local businesses deliver a more seamless and enhanced customer experience.
The project, in partnership with Ports of Jersey, Jersey Post and Ryde, aims to help businesses understand the visitor journey and where inefficiencies can be removed to deliver outstanding customer experience.
Freedom Holidays is launching a digital transformation project that hopes to support the local tourism sector by delivering a smoother, more personalised experience for self-catering holidaymakers in Jersey. The initiative brings together accommodation providers, marketing partners and customer service teams to create a “more connected and responsive service journey”.
The project has a centralised CRM system that will improve data consistency and enable tailored customer interactions. The modernisation of booking processes will reduce manual handling and unlock new opportunities for targeted marketing, helping Freedom Holidays better anticipate and meet the needs of its guests.
Tony Moretta, CEO of Digital Jersey, said: “These three diverse projects underline once again the potential to bring about positive change across our island through the Impact Jersey scheme and the application of technology – in these cases boosting retail, supporting the visitor economy, and enabling businesses to improve their customer experience.
“I’m excited to see the impact these projects can all have over the coming months.”
“Improving productivity across Jersey’s local economy remains a priority for the Government, and these CXTech projects will support our efforts,” added Deputy Kirsten Morel, Minister for Sustainable Economic Development.
“I’m pleased to see the Impact Jersey scheme again supporting projects that embrace innovative digital solutions, to deliver significant benefits for all Islanders.”
