Arrivals at the airport in October were 3.2% higher than at the same period last year, while arrivals at the harbour were down 8.8%.

Gatwick accounted for two fifths of all passenger arrivals during the month, with a total of 29,484 – an annual 5% uplift in volume.
Strong growth was also recorded in the number of arrivals from both Manchester and Guernsey, which saw an increase of 69% and 19% respectively.
More passengers sailed from Sark and Carteret but this was outweighed by declines across key routes including Guernsey (-29%) and St. Malo (-2%).
Taking air and sea together, the overall volume of passenger arrivals in October was 0.6% higher than a year before.
