IoD Jersey is hoping to bring together business leaders, economists and stakeholders to “critically examine the economic future of Jersey” at their upcoming debate.
Journalist and broadcaster Natasha Kaplinsky will host the event alongside Alex Ruddy, Chair of IoD Jersey, which aims to create a “shared vision for a competitive and sustainable jurisdiction”.
IoD Jersey said the event will focus on a SWOT analysis of Jersey’s economy, the strategic vision for the Island and collaboration with key organisations.
Industry leaders and experts will join the debate and provide “in-depth insights” into the Island’s current economic situation and future potential.
It added that following the debate, IoD Jersey will form a series of working groups to “refine Jersey’s strategic vision and formulate actionable steps towards sustaining and growing Jersey’s economy”.
Alex Ruddy, Chair of IoD Jersey, said: “The resilience of each business is intrinsically linked to the island economy. We are proud to host this significant debate as we prepare for the upcoming election.
“It’s vital that we engage in a data-driven conversation about the future of our economy, and the insights gained from this event will help us shape a vision and strategy for Jersey PLC from the perspective of industry leaders.”
