Islanders will have the chance to hear from endurance athlete Mark Prevel later this month as he reflects on one of Guernsey’s most remarkable sporting challenges.
Mr Prevel, who walked 100 miles in just 24 hours before going on to complete 1,000 miles in a month, will give a talk at Les Cotils on Monday 13 July at 18:00.
The event will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the physical and mental challenges involved in the feat, with attendees also invited to put their own questions to Mr Prevel during a Q&A session.
Organisers describe the evening as a chance to learn more about the determination, preparation and resilience that helped him complete the challenge.
The talk is open to the public, with entry by donation in support of Les Bourgs Hospice. A minimum donation of £5 is suggested.
