Due to persistent poor visibility within the Channel Islands on 16 July and 17 July, a number of Aurigny’s flights have been delayed.

To bring more travellers home as quickly as possible, the airline has upgraded capacity on its flights this evening to and from London Gatwick, chartering a Titan Airways A320. The flights operated by the larger aircraft are:

  • GR608 & GR609
  • GR610 & GR611

Aurigny has also helped support the Alderney community, which was also affected, by chartering boats.

A spokesperson for Aurigny said: “With the upcoming school holidays meaning availability is more limited in the coming days, we’re acting now to help get more where they need to be as quickly as we can.

“We really appreciate all the patience and understanding shown by our customers, and the perseverance and hard work by our teams”

Aurigny also says its phone lines are busy, and requests customers only call if their enquiry is urgent in relation to travel today.

Customers whose flights are cancelled will receive direct emails from Aurigny with their options, and those travelling are encouraged to check their flight status at: aurigny.com/information/disruptions and aurigny.com/information/arrivals-departuresurigny.
