Organisers of the Saffery Rotary Walk 2026 are delighted to announce that registration for the Family Walk is now open.

Taking place on Saturday 6 June, the Family Walk invites families, friends, and multiple generations to come together for a fun-filled afternoon of walking, community spirit, and fundraising for 16 local charities across the Bailiwick.

Participants join the Walk for its final leg or last two legs, starting from either Chouet or Bordeaux Harbour, making it an accessible and rewarding experience for all ages and fitness levels. For just £45, groups of up to four walkers can take part, with every participant receiving one of the Walk’s iconic branded caps on arrival.

The Family Walk is one of several ways to take part in Guernsey’s much-loved fundraising event, which enters its 27th year in 2026 following a record-breaking 2025 – when more than 1,200 walkers raised over £100,000 for local charities.

Walk Chairman, Simon Milsted, said: “What better way to spend quality time with those close to you than walking side by side in support of Guernsey’s charities? The Family Walk is a fantastic opportunity for all generations to take part in this iconic event while enjoying our island’s stunning coastal scenery – and crossing that finish line together is a moment that stays with you.”

Simon added: “Sign up and we will be waiting to greet you at Chouet or Bordeaux Harbour. It is one of the most welcoming and inclusive parts of the whole day, and we would love to see as many families as possible joining us on 6 June.”

Lisa Vizia, Director at Saffery Trust, added: “The Family Walk is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for everyone – from young children to grandparents who want to take part in a relaxed and sociable way. The Walk has always been about community, and this format brings that to life in the most joyful way possible.”

Lisa continued: “We encourage families and friendship groups to sign up, get outdoors, and make a difference to the 16 local charities we are proud to be supporting in 2026. It is a simple yet powerful way to give back while creating lasting memories together.”

Those looking for a greater challenge can also sign up as solo walkers for the full 39-mile coastal route, or enter a relay team of 4-7 participants. Whatever format you choose, every step makes a real difference.
