Guernsey will host the Channel Islands premiere of the festive hit “Nativity! The Musical” when it is staged at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts between 28 November and 1 December 2019.
Butterfield is the sponsor of the production, a partnership between the Guernsey Youth & Community Theatre and the Cheshire Dramatic Arts Academy, which has secured the amateur performing rights licence, despite the show currently being on tour in the UK.
Featuring children from 14 local schools, the Guernsey Youth & Community Theatre have, for the first time, collaborated with the Cheshire Dramatic Arts Academy. The team behind this community production invited the public to audition and has assembled a talented cast of 46 adults and children, featuring students from the island’s schools. They will belt out favourite sing-along hits including Sparkle and Shine, Nazareth, One Night One Moment and She’s the Brightest Star.
Producer Steve Hamon said, “The children are the stars of this cracker of a show. We couldn’t have put the musical on had it not been for the longstanding support of Butterfield and co-sponsor Orca Charitable LBG.
