Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery latest exhibition ‘Lost in Nature’ is open at Guernsey Museum at Candie.
‘Lost in Nature’ invites you to immerse yourself in the natural world through the transportive power of art.
The exhibition is inspired by the museum’s partnership with the States of Guernsey’s Health and Social Care (HSC) Arts and Health Programme, and the themes of art and wellbeing explored during the creation of The Corridor Gallery at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.

On display until 5 July 2026, and featuring a curated selection of nature inspired artworks drawn from the Museum’s extensive collection, the exhibition in the Brian White Gallery is complemented by a bespoke soundscape by local composer Flexagon and a captivating video installation by Ross Yeates from SkyWave Media.
Together, these elements offer a gentle invitation to pause, slow down, and reconnect with the natural world through art, sound and film.
The exhibition will also include a self-led wellbeing walking guide, created in collaboration with Guernsey Trees for Life, which explores Candie Gardens. The guide will be launched during Well-Geeking Week, taking place from 25–29 May 2026.
The aim of Well-Geeking week is to showcase hobbies and pastimes that enhance our sense of wellbeing. Visitors during the week 25-29 May (May half term) will have the chance to take part in extra activities for all ages. A schedule of events and activities will be released closer to the time on Guernsey Museum’s website and social media channels.
The Well-Geeking Week culminates in The Big Geekend (30 & 31 May), a two-day celebration of quirky collections and unique interests.
Helen Glencross MBE, Head of Culture & Heritage Services, said: “In an ever-busy world, our latest exhibition ‘Lost in Nature’ offers a moment of calm and reflection. Through a beautifully curated selection of artworks from our collections and the natural landscapes they depict, the exhibition invites visitors to slow down, engage and enjoy the restorative power of the natural world through sight, sound and film.
“We are very pleased to have partnered with the Health and Social Care (HSC) Arts and Health Programme, and it is fantastic to see how this collaboration has inspired an exhibition that is not only visually compelling but also offers a positive and enriching experience.”
Sophie Brehaut, Assistant Curator Guernsey Museums, said: “Lost in Nature’ was inspired by our recent partnership with the HSC Arts & Health Programme which has encouraged us to think more deeply about how our collections can support community wellbeing. The artworks on display come from our permanent collections and are inclusively curated alongside sound and video allowing the gallery to become a space that can be shaped by how visitors choose to experience it.
Whether as a calm space for quiet reflection, a welcoming place to meet a friend or somewhere to discover something new about our islands’ rich artistic heritage, ‘Lost in Nature’ invites you to slow down and reconnect with the natural world through the transportive power of art.”
