Guernsey Arts’ take on the International Wildlife Photographer of the Year has opened, with Guernsey Museum now open to the public for another year.

A private viewing of the exhibition was held last night, and the museum opened its doors to the public for the first time this year this morning with both the local and International Wildlife Photographer exhibitions open.

Attracting work from more than 90 photographers, the local exhibition aims to shine a spotlight on the creatures that call Guernsey home, and the creatives that capture them in imagery.

The photographers and their families packed out the gallery at Guernsey Museum at Candie Gardens, to see what was on display as part of the competition, and the international exhibition on loan from the Natural History Museum in London

The local exhibition is open 10:00 – 16:00 daily until 22 March.

The International Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition will be on display locally until 13 April.
