Students and staff from The Ladies’ College in Guernsey recently visited Cheltenham Ladies’ College as part of their continued partnership and shared heritage.

The visit included a netball and hockey tour, with students from both schools taking to the pitch and court in a series of friendly and competitive matches. Alongside the sporting events, Nick Dyson, Deputy Principal (Innovation and Student Development) at The Ladies’ College, met with members of Cheltenham’s senior leadership team to discuss opportunities for further collaboration.

Founded on 10 October 1872, The Ladies’ College was originally modelled on Cheltenham Ladies’ College, reflecting a shared commitment to high standards of education and the development of young women’s potential.

Nick Dyson said: ‘Our visit to Cheltenham Ladies’ College was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with a school that played a formative role in shaping our own. The students thoroughly enjoyed the sports tournament and the warm hospitality, and our leadership discussions reaffirmed our mutual values and aspirations. We look forward to deepening this historic relationship.’

The partnership between the two schools continues to build on their common foundation, with future exchange and enrichment opportunities being explored across academic, co-curricular and leadership development areas.
