Students and staff from The Ladies’ College in Guernsey recently visited Cheltenham Ladies’ College, fostering their ongoing partnership and shared heritage.
The visit featured a netball and hockey tour, where students from both schools competed in friendly matches. Additionally, Nick Dyson, the Deputy Principal at The Ladies’ College, met with Cheltenham’s senior leadership to explore further collaboration opportunities.
The Ladies’ College, founded on 10 October 1872, was originally modelled on Cheltenham Ladies’ College.
Mr Dyson described the visit as a “wonderful opportunity to reconnect”: “Our visit to Cheltenham Ladies’ College was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with a school that played a formative role in shaping our own.
Mr Dyson continued: “The students thoroughly enjoyed the sports tournament and the warm hospitality, and our leadership discussions reaffirmed our mutual values and aspirations. We look forward to deepening this historic relationship.”
