Inclusive leadership and the importance of creating an inclusive culture in the workplace are set to be the topics under the spotlight when two senior bank leaders take to the stage at this month’s The Diversity Network (TDN) event in Jersey.
The breakfast event, which takes place at the Grand Jersey on 25th October 2018, will see Tracy Garrad, CEO, HSBC Channel Islands and Isle of Man and Sue Fox, CEO, M&S Bank, discuss their respective routes to CEO roles, what inclusive leadership means to them, and how they put this into action in the banks.
Founded in early 2018 by local business women Kate Wright and Sam Duffy, TDN Jersey is a not-for-profit networking group which works with local businesses to promote and enable diversity and innovative working practices.
Commenting on the event, Tracy said: “More than ever, equality and inclusion need to be at the heart of an organisation’s culture and at HSBC, we certainly believe that, if we are to truly deliver value for clients, we need to demonstrate both diverse talent and thinking. It’s so important that, as a community, we continue to keep talking about what inclusivity means and allow people to ask questions about the subject, which is why I am so pleased to have this opportunity to discuss these issues alongside Sue.”
Sue Fox, CEO of M&S Bank, said: “I’m incredibly passionate about nurturing an open and inclusive working environment for all, a place where everyone feels safe to bring their whole self to work and is valued because of – not in spite of – difference. I’m really excited to be joining Tracy to talk about inclusivity and the value it adds at every level of the organisation.”
The TDN ‘Inclusive Leadership’ event will take place at the Grand Jersey on 25th October from 8am – 10.30am, and tickets are available on www.thediversitynetwork-Jersey.org
