£2million makeover for Voisins

Thursday 30 March 2017

Voisins Department Store has begun a multi-million pound refurbishment plan in a move they say will provide a boost to the Island’s retail industry.

Voisins Chairman Gerald Voisin said: “As the Island’s leading fashion retailer, we carry out extensive customer research, and are pleased to be undertaking this work in direct response to the feedback we have received from our shoppers.”

The latest phase of the refurbishment – a new activewear and swimwear department – opened on the first floor earlier this month with work now taking place in the ‘young fashions’ area downstairs.

When the work is completed in July, Voisins will have created the largest shoe department for men and women in its 180-year history as well as a new handbag ‘world’ including prestigious international brands such as Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade and Coach.

The refurbishment will also create 10 new jobs with positions for hair stylists, make-up artists and sales advisors among the new roles.
