4G roaming first for JT Customers

Friday 24 April 2015

JT has announced another milestone in its 4G network rollout, with the launch of 4G roaming services exclusively for JT customers.

JT customers in Jersey have been able to take advantage of 4G services since February and JT’s network remains the only live 4G service in the Island, due for full completion in the next three weeks. A further area goes live tonight in St Clement, with only two remaining areas in Jersey to go live.

With data consumption continuing to rise exponentially, 4G services deliver smartphone users unrivalled access to mobile data on the go and a superior, faster mobile experience.

JT’s investment in a state-of-the-art 4G LTE-Advanced network gives customers the fastest speeds available and now with 4G roaming services available for all Channel Islands JT customers, the benefits of 4G can travel with them abroad.

Having listened to its customers in parallel to this agreement, JT has also developed a good value roaming bolt-on. This provides data usage at up to 85% less cost per MB for customers using this service, so they can roam with confidence and stay in control of their costs. JT have the largest network of over 550 roaming partners worldwide enabling our customers to stay more connected than ever before.

JT is now amongst only a handful of global providers, and the first in the Channel Islands, to offer this service.

To take advantage of 4G services customers are advised to check their handset settings and turn on/select ‘LTE/4G’ where present to access this new service from JT.
