Advocate appointed new chair of STEP

Tuesday 25 October 2016

The Jersey branch of STEP – an organisation that provides professional development including training and qualifications, with more than 1,000 chapters world-wide – has a new chair.

Advocate Naomi Rive is taking over from Lorraine Wheeler who was chair for the previous two years.

Commenting on her appointment Advocate Rive said: “I am looking forward to building upon the excellent work undertaken by my predecessors in ensuring that the Jersey branch of STEP provides its members with access to educational and networking opportunities in accordance with the aims and objectives of the organisation.”

The Jersey branch is now in its 25th year, and with more than 1,200 members, many of whom are in the process of working towards STEP professional qualifications, is the largest in the world outside of London.

At its recent AGM one of the founding members of the Jersey branch, Rosemary Marr, was made a lifelong member of the committee in recognition of her dedication to STEP.
