Annual charity conference moves online

Tuesday 18 August 2020

Jersey Community Partnership has announced that this year's Charity Conference will be moving online to deliver a series of webinars designed to assist the sector in the wake of the global pandemic.

The first webinar entitled ‘Cultivating a Growth Mindset’ will take place today at 11:00, with the others taking place throughout the rest of the month and September.

The conference is free to attend for those working or volunteering for a charitable or not-for-profit organisation, thanks to the sponsorship of Smith and Williamson.

There is a suggested minimum donation of £25 for any for-profit organisations wishing to attend.

All organisations who attend will have access to the entire series of webinars for up to a year.

“We are delighted to announce our third Charity Conference designed to help charities emerge from the devastating impacts of covid-19," Rachel French, CEO of the Jersey Community Partnership said.

"The global pandemic has drastically changed both the operational and financial environments within which charities exist. The sector has suffered significant financial losses at a time when demand for their services increased. There is an urgent need for access to the expert insight, guidance and advice that the conference is renowned for, to aid in the recovery of the sector.”
