Patrick Burke has been named as an ‘industry titan’ as he celebrates 30 years in the role.
Boutique Hotelier, an influential hospitality publication, have acknowledged Mr Burke’s contribution to the hospitality industry by naming him on their 10-strong ‘industry titans’ list.
Mr Burke, who is both Managing Director and owner of The Atlantic Hotel said: “I’m thrilled to have been recognised in this way by my industry peers. The hotel industry is very competitive and constantly changing, which encourages you to keep looking for innovative and creative ideas to maintain and improve standards.”
He was the only Channel Islands’ hotelier to be recognised as an ‘industry titan’ by the Boutique Hotelier Power List Awards 2017.
Under his leadership, the Atlantic Hotel has won four Red Stars and four Rosettes from the AA, the AA’s Courtesy and Care Award for England, multiple awards for excellent service from Condé Nast Johansens and a much coveted Catey award for Hotel of the Year in 2014.
This is not the first time Mr Burke’s contribution to the hospitality sector has been awarded. Previously he has been recognized by his admission as the sole Channel Island member of the Master Innholders. This lifetime award comes with the Freedom of the City of London and Fellowship of the Institute of Hospitality.
