Coopers & Co coffee has landed a deal to sell tea, coffee and chocolate at Heathrow Airport.
Coopers' wares will be on sale at "Gorgeous Kitchen" – a new airside restaurant opening in the newly rebuilt Terminal 2 building next month.
David Warr, the man behind Coopers & Co, has also done a start-up deal with Jersey Post to get his products out of the Island. If they take off in London they’ll boost business for both locally owned companies.
Mr Waugh said: “This is a great opportunity to get our brand off Jersey. It’s also an opportunity for 'Brand Jersey', people who have never heard of Jersey before, we may appear on their radar a bit more. It’s an opportunity to see how can we promote Brand Jersey as well as my own business. If we can work together, we are much stronger.
“If there is a takeaway market there might be an opportunity to offer a free holiday to Jersey – it’s hypothetical right now, but it could be an extraordinary opportunity, an opportunity to build brand awareness.”
Mr Warr was in Heathrow last week showing the restaurant staff how to use the machines and whip up a latte.
Terminal 2, officially ‘The Queen’s Terminal’ will open on Wednesday. It will be able to handle 20 million passengers a year.
