Sharnie Evans has been appointed as small business manager at Barclays in Jersey. Ms Evans role will be to oversee, support and grow a portfolio of small business customers, contributing to the sustainable growth of start-up and existing local businesses as part of the corporate and community banking team.
“In my new role my main aim will be to deliver exceptional business and service performance by providing customers with correct product selection and promotion of communication channels, making business banking easy and efficient to manage,” she said.
Since working at Barclays, Ms Evans has gained her certificate in the offshore finance industry as well as the Digital Driving License accreditation with City and Guilds. She is currently studying towards an Institute of Financial Services certificate in Business Banking and Conduct and a certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice.
Ms Evans said: “I see the role as a fantastic opportunity to acquire new clientele, improve our services and offer a more personable service to our small business clients. I’m most excited about the prospect of working with and supporting the growth of local businesses within our community and positively impacting the client experience for all business customers.”
