Mark Miles has been appointed as the new head of office for the Jersey branch of Brewin Dolphin, a UK independently-owned provider of discretionary wealth management.
His appointment follows the retirement of Stuart Sangan, who led the Jersey-based team for 18 years.
In his new role, Mr Miles will be responsible for the overall profitability and success of the office, building upon Brewin Dolphin’s 44-year history on the Island.
Commenting on the appointment, Hal Catherwood, regional director at Brewin Dolphin, said: “I’m delighted to appoint Mark [Miles] as head of office for Jersey. He is an experienced and dedicated investment manager, who has enjoyed a long, successful career with Brewin Dolphin. We very much look forward to continuing to work with Mark to build on the success of the Jersey office.”
Mr Miles was educated at Victoria College and started his career in finance in 1985 with what was Jersey’s oldest established broker, Le Masurier James and Chinn.
He joined Brewin Dolphin as a Divisional Director in 1995 and has been predominantly involved in the discretionary managed side of the business, running bespoke asset managed portfolios for private clients, trusts and institutions.
