Chamber Director to create Korean connections

Tuesday 03 March 2020

The Director of the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea is offering to help local companies link up with the East Asian country.

Sean Blakely had offered to do a day of one-to-one meetings on the island with Jersey business leaders on Friday 13 March, but the visit had to be cancelled because Public Health Jersey is requiring visitors from Korea to self-isolate for 14 days due to the coronavirus outbreak.

He is now offering to meet local business leaders in London during the week of Monday 9 March instead.

Mr Blakely has lived in Korea for over a decade and is a fluent Korean speaker. Before taking up his current role at the British Chamber, he had set up and managed the Seoul office of global advisory firm Intralink.

The British Chamber recently helped a local company successfully export their products to Korea by connecting them to one of the high-end department store chains there.

Those interested in meeting Mr Blakely can email here to register their interest.
