C5 Alliance Limited (C5) has promoted Gary Stewart from Head of Business Intelligence to Director of Professional Services.

In his new role, Mr Stewart will be responsible for the Professional Services division.

He will maintain and strengthen client relationships to ensure smooth operations and will work closely with CTO Aonghus Fraser to provide technical direction to both clients and the group.

Mr Stewart is a qualified ACCA accountant and has spent over 15 years working in IT and the offshore finance industry. Starting out as a software developer, he has held roles as a Business Analyst, Project Manager and Auditor. He has experience of working for large global banks, one of the big four accountancy firms and a legal and fund administration company.

As head of Business Intelligence, he was responsible for the delivery of large-scale projects related to regulatory FATCA and CRS data, alongside analytics projects and implementing new data warehouses.

Mr Stewart said: “I’m delighted to have received this promotion and I look forward to applying my experience from Business Intelligence to the bigger picture for both clients and the group. I look forward to us really using our strengths as a business to meet the growing demand for data analytics and providing a long-term platform for C5’s continued growth.”
