Three employees from Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management in the Channel Islands have been included in the Citywire Top 100 Fund Selectors list for 2014.

Justin Oliver, deputy chief investment officer; Mark Piper, investment director and Lee Morris, senior investment manager, have been named in the list of most influential people in fund selection across the UK wealth industry which is put together via an annual survey by UK wealth management publication Citywire.

Mr Morris, who is based in Canaccord’s Jersey office, is a fixed income specialist. He runs a range of strategies and selects external funds as part of the company’s fixed interest team. His development of a global macro analysis tool to find value investing in specialist areas was highlighted in his profile by Citywire.

Mr Piper is a veteran of the UK fund selection scene with over 26 years’ experience in the industry. He is the Chairman of the Fund Selection Committee and Lead Manager on Canaccord’s select diversity, select affinity, select opportunity and select global opportunity funds. He also runs a number of discretionary portfolios for a range of institutions, intermediaries and private clients.

Mr Oliver, who is based in the Guernsey office, chairs the company’s portfolio construction committee, a member of the asset allocation and fund selection committees and manager of several of Canaccord’s Select range of funds.

Grahame Lovett, Chief Executive of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, Offshore said: “It is a great achievement for three of our team members in the Channel Islands to be recognised in the prestigious Citywire Top 100 Fund Selectors list. The list highlights the leading people in private client fund selection across the UK which demonstrates Justin, Mark and Lee’s extensive experience and knowledge in the funds sector. Their inclusion on the list is very well-deserved.”
