Trust lawyer Advocate Michael Goulborn has joined Carey Olsen's litigation team as of counsel in the firm's Jersey office.
Advocate Goulborn has particular expertise in contentious and non-contentious trust matters both in Jersey and internationally.
He recently acted for two of the plaintiffs in the complex Alhamrani proceedings in Jersey which occupied the courts for more than six years. Mr Goulborn also deals with commercial and financial services disputes including administrative applications involving trustees, beneficiaries and protectors as well as breach of trust actions and corporate insolvency.
He was named as a prominent figure in the Citywealth Leaders List for contentious trust work and is a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.
Carey Olsen head of litigation in Jersey, Advocate John Kelleher, said: "Michael adds an extra facet to our expertise in contentious and non-contentious trust litigation, which continues to be an active area of business for the firm. Our litigation practice is one of the largest offshore and, as we move into 2015, our growth is set to continue."
