The Deutsche Bank Dashers C team took first place in the men’s competition in the Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management Corporate Cup race series.

Deloitte 1 took first place in the women’s competition and the Salty Seales from Saltgate Ltd dominated in the mixed competition.

38 teams from local businesses took part in the lunch time 5km race series over the summer with the final race taking place on 17 September.

The team-based series was split into three categories; Men’s, Ladies’ and mixed with the best three races counting towards the overall standings.

The full results from the series can be found on the Run Jersey website.

This is the first year the Corporate Cup has taken place, sponsored by Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management and organised by Run Jersey.

“It’s fantastic that keen runners from local businesses have supported the Corporate Cup throughout the summer making the series extremely competitive and exciting to follow,” said Grahame Lovett, Chief Executive of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, Offshore.

“The series has given Jersey’s business community the chance for a bit of healthy competition outside of the office which I hope the runners have enjoyed. Well done to all who took part.”

Digby Ellis-Brecknell, Race Director and Endurance Events Organiser for Run Jersey, said: “This first year of the Canaccord Genuity Corporate Cup has been an unrivalled success with over 140 runners managing to break away from their desks and work places to run the 5km course once a month.

“I have no doubt that the Canaccord Genuity Corporate Cup will grow in strength and 2015 will see even more teams taking part in this competitive but relaxed event where the emphasis is on the combined team results, making it a perfect race series for both the beginner or more experienced runners.”

Second in the men’s competition was Standard Chartered A with Rojo’s in third place. In second place in the women’s competition was B’n’Pink Paribas Girls. Second in the mixed competition was Mourant Ozanne; Grant Thornton came third.

The 2015 series starts on 15 April.
