From crime reform to retail: Sandpiper makes new recruit

Wednesday 23 August 2017

One of the founding members of the Prison! Me! No Way!!! initiative has taken a central role on the Sandpiper management team.

Lesley Harrison (pictured) will step into the position of Head of Human Resources and Marketing on the Channel Islands retail company team.

They hope that the new appointment will help strengthen Sandpiper’s management structure and help solidify their ambitions across the Channel Islands and overseas.

Known for chairing and founding Prison! Me! No Way!!!’s Jersey operation – an initiative to encourage young people away from crime – Lesley also holds a portfolio of experience within sales, marketing, business development and HR.

Throughout her career, she has acquired numerous awards and recognitions, including a CIPD Jersey Award for Talent Attraction and Management Strategy and a 2017 CIM UK Marketing Excellence Award. She was also named IoD Jersey’s Director of the Year 2016, and was highly commended in the national UK finals.

She said that she was “delighted” to join the team, adding:

“We have some extremely talented people and I’m looking forward to working with them to build and develop Sandpiper’s recruitment, training and marketing strategies to ensure the business remains a premier employer and retailer of choice,” she commented.
