Deloitte has appointed John Clacy to the role of Partner in Charge of Offshore.
Mr Clacy has managed the Guernsey business since 2014, and the firm says his promotion to a pan-island role "...reflects the collaborative nature of the two offices which operate as a single organisation.
The business will continue to run on a combined, one-practice basis with Mr Clacy dividing his time between the two islands.
David Becker, who was promoted to the position of Partner in 2014, has assumed the role of Partner in Charge of the Guernsey office, whilst Greg Branch remains Partner in Charge of the Jersey office.
Mr Clacy started work with Deloitte as a graduate in 1994 and last summer marked his 25th year with the company.
"It is both an exciting and challenging time in the Channel Islands,’ comments Mr Clacy. ‘World events, huge consumer shifts, financial disruption and regulation and transparency are all challenges that Deloitte’s clients face and the offshore teams have expertise and agility to help our clients navigate and capitalise on change. I welcome the challenge ahead, knowing that the talent within our Guernsey and Jersey offices is first class."
"Our leadership team is very strong and we are well placed to support our continued growth in the islands."
