A digital entrepreneur specialised in product development and the impact digital has on business has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Ravenscroft.
The board said it appointed Chris Barling in the hope of using his experience in information technology to benefit the group as it continues its plans for growth.
Mr Barling commented: "To me, Ravenscroft combines the solid fundamentals needed by all investment companies with the open mind and innovative flair that characterises young companies. After many years on the board of investment behemoth Hargreaves Lansdown, I am very much looking forward to working with the team at Ravenscroft.
"My speciality is IT so I should be contributing to Ravenscroft's developments in this area."
Stephen Lansdown, Chairman, said the company had ambitious growth plans and needed a strong board.
He added: "I am delighted that Chris is joining the board. I’ve known him for a long time and had the pleasure of working alongside him at Hargreaves Lansdown. His experience and knowledge is vast and he will be a great asset to the business going forward."
