Enterprise Week begins in Jersey today, and culminates on Friday night with the annual Awards for Enterprise.

The gala evening will be held at the RJA & HS for the first time, and will feature the BBC's business broadcaster Steph McGovern. Enterprise Week is organised by Jersey Business and will be opened this morning with a seminar called The Future of Enterprise, in conjunction with PwC.

The opening session will examine how global megatrends are  disrupting and reshaping the economic and commercial landscape. International speaker Will Day will present the keynote speech followed by discussion and debate amongst business leaders about the actions that Jersey needs to take to stay relevant.

Smart cities are developing across the world as people move towards urban centres. But what are the characteristics of smart cities that can be applied to Jersey to make the quality of life of the island's residents better?
