SANNE, the specialist provider of corporate, fund and private client administration, reporting and fiduciary services, has appointed Eric Dolan as director in the Group’s risk function, based in Jersey.
Mr Dolan (38) has a background in audit and risk and joins the Group from the Jersey Financial Services Commission, where he worked for nine years.
Before that, Mr Dolan spent seven years at EY in both Jersey and London, specialising in systems-based auditing. In his new role, he will work closely with colleagues in the risk function to continue the development of management systems across the Group’s global operating platform.
"My last project at the Commission was managing the design of the new risk-based approach to supervision. All of the lessons learnt there can be applied to SANNE’s evolving risk management approach, including an awareness of where the regulator is going with respect to risk data requirements and general expectations," said Mr Dolan, who was educated at De la Salle College and the University of Warwick.
"SANNE is a fast growing and jurisdictionally diverse business. I am looking forward to working in what is a dynamic environment to ensure risk management systems continue to develop in step with this growth."
At the JFSC, Mr Dolan also spent four years regulating Jersey banking institutions, including as a senior examiner focussing on AML/CFT requirements.
Dean Godwin, chief executive of SANNE, said: "Eric has an impressive background and a wealth of experience in this area. SANNE places great importance on risk management and his appointment further strengthens our capability and expertise as we build out the operating platform."
