EY’s UK Real Estate Partner relocates to Jersey

Wednesday 14 September 2022

EY’s London Partner has relocated to Jersey to join the firm's Channel Islands partnership.

Dan Saunders joins EY’s Jersey office from EY London, where he was the UK and Ireland Assurance Market Segment Leader for Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction and was responsible for EY’s largest FTSE 350 real estate audits.

He has more than 20 years’ experience working with public and private real estate companies.

Due to the popularity of Channel Islands real estate investment structures, Dan has many years’ experience of working with Channel Islands businesses and REITs listed on The International Stock Exchange (TISE).

Whilst mostly based in London during his career, he also spent three years in Australia where he worked with clients listed on the ASX (Australian Securities Exchange).

In his new Channel Islands role, Dan will be focusing on continuing the growth of EY’s Channel Islands offices. He will be sharing his deep knowledge of the real estate sector and the latest public reporting, corporate governance and ESG requirements.

Dan said: “I’m delighted to have relocated to Jersey and join the local partnership. As my wife, Kim, is originally from Jersey, I’ve been a frequent visitor to the island for the last 20 years. I look forward to contributing to EY’s growth in the Channel Islands."

Andrew Dann, EY’s Managing Partner in the Channel Islands, said: “I'm delighted to welcome Dan to the CI practice. His experience and knowledge from his time in London will be invaluable to us and our clients.

"I look forward to working with Dan as we continue to support our people, our clients and the local finance industry.”
