Children's charity Every Child Our Future has appointed a Chief Executive Officer for the first time.
Senior Adviser to the Children, Young People, Education and Skills Department (CYPES), and former Head Teacher, Cris Lakeman will be taking on the role.
Nick Kershaw, Chairman of Every Child Our Future, said: "We are delighted that Cris has accepted the role of CEO for Every Child Our Future. Cris’s vast educational experience is going to be hugely beneficial in overseeing the next stage of growth for the charity.
"At a time when there is such a focus on education, Cris has the expertise and leadership to help us bring the community together to give the children of Jersey all the support they need. We are very much looking forward to welcoming her to the team in July."
Ms. Lakeman said: “Every Child Our Future have secured partnerships with the Education Department, with corporate supporters and with community volunteers. I am very much looking forward to working with these partners to further grow the charity for the benefit of children in the local community.”
