Carol Keenan and Gerard O’Gorman will both be based in the Group’s head office in Jersey. Their appointments are effective immediately.

The announcement comes shortly after the appointment of Malcolm Macleod as Head of Corporate Services for the Channel Islands.

Mr Macleod will be responsible for the corporate team in the Channel Islands, working closely with Mrs Keenan. Meanwhile, Mr O'Gorman will assume responsibility of an existing client portfolio within the Group’s Private Client service line.

Mr O'Gorman has over 25 years’ experience in managing High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals and their families from all around the world. Prior to joining First Names Group, he spent 14 years with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), where he had responsibility for managing a large client portfolio while also overseeing a team of 50 in the private client department as Fiduciary Business Lead. He is also an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).

Ben Newman, Managing Director of First Names Group in Jersey, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Carol and Gerard to the team. It is an exciting time for First Names Group as we continue to progress our long-term strategy and achieve our organic growth objectives.

"Both Carol and Gerard will play a vital role as we continue to build our Corporate service line and further strengthen our Private Client offering in the Channel Islands.
