Foreshore is the only Channel Island cloud provider to have received the ISO27001 certification, for the third year running.
This certification sets out how an organisation should approach its information security management. Recognised internationally, achieving certification provides credibility for those claiming their client’s information is secure. This provides local businesses using the company’s cloud services with independent verification that their data is as safe as possible.
Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Jarrett said as more clients were using cloud services in their business, the main concern is always security of data.
“Although the ‘anywhere-access data’ that cloud services provide has significant advantages, it does make people nervous. At Foreshore we have always held ourselves to the highest possible industry standards for the quality of our Information Security Management System. We are delighted to be the only provider to achieve ISO27001 certification again, as further clear evidence of our commitment to client data security,” he said.
To achieve ISO27001 certification, Foreshore was required to prove to an independent third-party that it had developed and implemented a ‘best-in-class’ information security management system for itself and its customers.
