Walkers has recruited a former government adviser as a Senior Associate in its Investment Funds and Corporate Group.
Tom Fothergill was previously the Lead Policy Adviser on Financial Crime.
The role saw him advise on the development of policy and legislation related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, beneficial ownership, economic substance, and FinTech and bank resolution.
His appointments comes as part of a wave of recruitment, which has seen the arrival of Group Partner Leanne Wallser and Associates Ruth Donnellan and Ellen Jarvis.
"We are delighted to welcome Tom to the team as our growth continues across our Channel Islands offices," Jonathan Heaney, who leads Walkers' Investment Funds and Corporate Group, said.
"Tom's appointment further supplements our capacity to provide this market-leading regulatory support to our clients," he added.
