Founding partner quits Hanson Renouf

Monday 13 July 2015

Advocate Timothy Hanson has announced his resignation from Hanson Renouf - the firm he founded in 2005 - from the start of December, with effect from 2nd December.

He and his family moved to the UK 12 months ago, and he says that the demands of splitting his time between Jersey and the UK has proved too much.

Advocate Hanson was one of the founding partners in Hanson Renouf when it was formed in 2005 - last week the firm announced that it is to merge with another relatively new firm, David Benest Law.

Besides his private practice, he has also served as President of the Jersey Law Society, and has been a vocal spokesman on legal issues, particularly relating to family law and access to justice.

In a short statement, Advocate Hanson praised the staff he will be leaving behind at Hanson Renouf - and wished them success in the new joint venture with David Benest Law.

He said: "It is unusual to find such a happy group of employees who are willing to go the extra mile when a client needs the help."
