Hatstone appoints a new partner

Hatstone Lawyers has said they are ‘delighted’ to announce that Alex Carus has joined the firm as a group partner.

Mr Carus’ appointment is said to enhance the exsiting corporate and commercial team at Hatstone and brings the number of partners in the firm to seven globally.

Mr Carus has experience advising on all aspects of Jersey corporate and banking transactions, with a particular focus on real estate backed financings.

He has been regularly instructed as Jersey transaction counsel in relation to securitisations, sukuk issuances and other structured finance transactions and on a wide range of corporate finance transactions.

Mr Carus also regularly advises on private client matters, in particular assisting trustees in the discharge of their duties.
