Corporate, private client and funds company Hawksford has appointed a new head of legal.
Cordelia Miller will lead and manage Hawksford’s legal and company secretarial teams, with responsibility for managing legal risk and helping the company to achieve its strategic business objectives.
Miss Miller, who qualified as a banking and finance lawyer 16 years ago, has 18 years’ experience working within the financial services industry.
She joins Hawksford from Kleinwort Benson where she was in-house counsel for four years. Before moving to Jersey to take up a role with a Channel Islands firm, she spent ten years working in the City of London for shipping firm, Thomas Cooper, and a leading corporate, financial and commercial law firm Travers Smith.
She said: "I’m looking forward to growing and developing Hawksford’s legal and company secretarial teams. These functions are vital in ensuring that, as an organisation, we continue to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations and are abreast of market developments."
Hawksford CEO Maxine Rawlins said: "Cordelia has extensive experience advising on internal and external client structures and business areas. Her legal and analytical skills will be instrumental in helping us to continue to build the company and I’m pleased to welcome her to Hawksford."
