Standard Bank has been nominated for three awards in this year’s International Investment Awards.
Will Thorp, CEO of International Client Solutions at Standard Bank, said it was an “honour” to be shortlisted in the categories of Excellence in Sustainability, Contribution to Diversity and Inclusion and Excellence in Private Banking.
"We're immensely proud to be recognised not only for our fundamental commitment to excellence in private banking, but also our achievements in making our business more sustainable, diverse and inclusive across our international offices in the Isle of Man, Jersey, London, Mauritius and South Africa. We remain devoted to upholding these cornerstones of our practice for our clients, colleagues and the communities in which they live.
"Earlier this year, we published our Report to Society in which we addressed our sense of responsibility as a corporate citizen, to drive sustainable and inclusive economic development across Africa and our offshore locations. We strive to do this through the effective delivery of sustainable finance solutions, strategic charitable partnerships and a sustainable operating model, while maintaining our customer first approach.
"Being shortlisted for these awards further recognises our success in this endeavour and we look forward to the ceremony."
Winners will be announced at a virtual immersive gala event on Thursday 6 October.
