Islands rebrands across three islands

Monday 21 March 2016

Islands Insurance has unveiled its new corporate identity and rebranded as Islands following an across-the-board review of its business operations during 2015.

The company which has offices in Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney, will be known as Islands and, in addition to a new website www.islands.je, all signage, stationery and display material will feature its new corporate colours, logo and strapline ‘Taking care of tomorrow’.

Director Ian Touzel said the company had undertaken an extensive customer consultation exercise as part of the review and that the positive feedback it had received had reinforced the importance of its local identity.

He said: “People know us as Islands and value the fact that we’re a longstanding local firm with a strong local presence, so we wanted to retain that. However, we also recognize the need to constantly evolve and improve so that we best meet the needs of our customers, and the review we’ve undertaken has afforded us the opportunity to refresh our existing brand ahead of the rollout of other new initiatives planned for later in the year.

“These will hopefully demonstrate our renewed focus on providing innovative insurance and risk management solutions for clients across all our business sectors.”

Islands has been doing business in Jersey for nearly 50 years (it celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2017) and also has offices in Guernsey and Alderney.

Mr Touzel said that one of the company’s key strengths was its close links to the community, which were underpinned by its knowledge and understanding of the local market.

He said: “As a truly Channel Island business, we pride ourselves on the ability to deliver a very personal service and, because all claims and enquiries are dealt with locally, customers can come in and talk to us face-to-face.”
